Be prepared with our Merino wool beanie for men and women. A handy and warm watch cap that has been a staple for bushcrafters, sailors and woodspeople during the past 100 years. For whatever mother nature throws your way. Our Merino Wool fabric regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere. Wool will also absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials. Our spanish Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a Merino sheep in the cold castillian morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip. Made in Spain

WHAT IS MERINO WOOL?
Merino wool is a natural fiber grown by Merino sheep (oveja merina). It originated and was improved in Extremadura in the XII and XIII centuries, being instrumental in the economic development of Spain, which held a monopoly on the trade in its thinner and softer wool. We choose to work with Merino wool because it’s one of the most adaptable materials on Earth: each fiber naturally helps regulate body temperature, transports sweat away as a vapor, and cancels out odors; these benefits make it the ideal performance material for exploring nature. Every single woolen item in our store is 100% Made in Spain, respecting the old ways of wool processing, our cattle, our artisans and our clients. Our machinery is over 100 years old and it doesn’t look as if it will quit anytime soon. Finally, the fabric is exposed in the dry and sunny days of the valleys of León to get rid of any moisture. We love taking care of the process as much as you will enjoy taking it in your adventures. It’s in our tradition and spirit. The King Size (200cm x 250cm) and the Twin Size (200cm x 140cm) 100% Pure Merino Wool Blankets are a staple for every outdoor enthusiast or rustic decorator; each piece is unique. They will keep you toasty warm thanks to their wonderful properties and natural thistle carding. Either during a camp in the wilderness as well as on a cold night at the cabin, these classic pieces will delight all. Combine it with our new Nessmuk Tarp to have a historically accurate, wind and water resistant, toasty and warm bedroll for your classic camp! -

Welcome to Bushcraft Spain's top product. Camp anywhere under your own oilskin tarp. The long staple cotton product we use, finished in an oil and wax formula, is a wonderful fabric for tarps and shelters. The ample and solid 3×3 meter canvas weighs around 3.2kg / 7lb and will shelter you during your wilderness adventure. All tarps are finished with a large number of loops (19) on all four sides and along the centre seam. Its layer of wax and oil provides resistance to water, which will slide down the tarp, thus making it very waterproof. We were pioneers in the manufacture of Oilskin Tarps in Europe and we have paid all our care to their composition: all the loops are resistant, since they must withstand the constant pulls of the elements and we add extra resistant central reinforcements along the seam central for those who want to use the tarpaulin as in the diamond or plow-point configuration. The thread is of great strength and the stitches with attention to detail.

Lo and behold, the Heavy Duty Canvas Tarp We have designed this Sunshine Canvas fabric specially for this classic piece of history: a sturdy and reliable cover that you wouldn’t likely burn holes through (unlike the flimsy nylon kind), and to use as a ground cloth thanks to its reliability. A little work on your part will turn it into an amazing sleeping shelter. With a bit of time and practice you can configure this shelter to withstand all kinds of elements. Give it a try! As we said, this 3kg (6lb 10oz.) and 3 x 3m (10' x 10') tarp is made of our exclusive Sunshine Canvas, a 300gsm (9 oz.) 100% cotton canvas. We put in lots of attachment points so you could make variety of configurations, just like campers of the past did centuries ago. We were pioneers in the manufacture of Oilskin Tarps in Europe and they gained their fame across the World. We had to pay homage to the grandfather of tarps by creating the Heavy Duty Canvas Tarp. It’s an effective, durable shelter and an amazing tarp for your everyday work in the field, beach BBQ or... the wildest adventures you could imagine.

After Bushcraft Spain's top product, the Bushcraft Spain Oilskin Tarp, we have created a smaller and versatile tarp for those who want a minimalistic experience when camping and don't need the extra weight. The long staple cotton product we use, finished in an oil and wax formula, is a wonderful tarp for tarps and shelters. The compact and lighter 8'x8' / 2.5x2.5 meter canvas weighs around 2.3kg and it will shelter you during your wilderness adventure. When we think of a Valencian paella, images of the countryside and tradition, of meeting and companionship, are evoked. It is one of the best-known Spanish containers and one of our favourites! There's much to be said about a party of campers that carry a paella with them :) With the paella you can make great dishes to feed a large group; grilling, frying, boiling ... its flat design and two handles make it easy to carry in a backpack. The paella also hides other less orthodox uses: If we choose a polished carbon steel or stainless steel paella, it can perform the function of an emergency signaling mirror, and if we do not want to waste our voice shouting and we do not have a whistle, it can be hit to create a very amplified and characteristic sound. If we chose an enameled or stainless steel one, we would not have to maintain the care that polished steel requires. Stainless steel paellas are, however, more expensive due to their manufacturing process Contact us for different sizes. Made in Spain by the prestigious brand Garcima. Do not accept imitations.

The 100% natural fire starter. From Latin 'Taeda' (Spanish: Τea), its name defines pine trees once they are filled with resin and have been used as kindling for centuries. This natural resin, when ignited, exhibits rapid combustibility and long-lasting burnout with minimal dirt. A few sticks will start a roaring fire. It is also a safe, simple and hassle-free way to start a fire in a fireplace, barbecue, pellet stove, wood or charcoal or campfire.

Traditional twine (4mm) and rope (6mm) made from the fine threads of the hemp plant, coated with tar. Tarred yarn has been used aboard sailing ships for rigging, to serve and knot tying, as well as for tying the so-called ratΙines and hanks for centuries, it has been very common throughout the centuries in wilderness areas where it became a basic supply for pioneers. Historically these yarns were made from hemp which had to be impregnated in "Swedish tar" for conservation. Wood tar is washed out by rain and spindrift after a year, until then it is Water and UV resistant. Apply some amount of oil/wax reproofing cream to keep the rope as efficient as the first day. By the way... our tarred rope is resistant to the occasional open flame and it's a great tinder! But how does a rope with these two characteristics work and what extra capabilities does it have? Process the rope fibers to make a bird's nest. Throw high temperature sparks by the means of a ferrocerium rod or similar. It will catch the sparks amazingly! The flame the nest will provide will be very ample, hot and fast: this is called a Flash Tinder. Do you want a more sustainable flame? Use separate yarns of your rope as kindling or just press more tightly some parts of the nest you created, it will help maintain a flame for longer. Blowing into it will restart your flame! Expose a piece of rope to a flame long enough until it finally catches on fire, voilà ! You just created a portable flame: this makeshift candle works because of the infused tar in the rope, as it melts and feeds the natural hemp fibre. Not enough light? Wrap a good amount of rope around the end of a branch and light it, you will be crafting a Fire Torch in no time thanks to the waterproofing formula. (If your branch has some resin at the end of it, you add some wax, oil or fat to it, you will make it last longer)
