    Oilskin Log carrier

    $71.06 $61.66
Carrying your firewood back to camp or to the cabin has never been easier! Our Oilskin & Leather Log Carrier is a convenient way to carry firewood; built from sturdy and reliable 10 oz. 100% oiled and waxed cotton canvas, it has been added heavy duty premium leather handles and reinforcement bands made from 6 oz. full grain cowhide, and will quickly develop a handsome saddle tan patina. Our signature Oilskin finish has been applied and allowed time to soak through the canvas, making the bag highly durable and water repellent, for those dewy mornings or rainy evenings. It will keep your wood protected from nearby water, and if the wood itself is a bit wet, it will protect the area you leave it on. It can of course act as a mat to do some work on, and many of our friends have tried using it as a chair by hanging it from two nearby trees. We are so proud of all our products that we guarantee this log carrier to be able to hold up to 200kg (450lb) If you can carry the load, the Log Carrier will too! These carriers can be cleaned with a damp rag, or a brush with water and soap if a deeper cleaning is needed. Our famous Bushcraft Wax or beeswax can be used to re-coat the canvas over time if desired. These carriers are built to endure years of hard service. Made in Spain

Due to popular demand, we present to you our storage bags. They are specially designed to keep your tarp, tent or ground cloth neat and tidy, during outings or at home. Many clients and friends use it to store various items they didn't have a proper classic bag for! The density of the material makes it perfect to withstand mountain work and isolate the equipment from water, due to the naturally water resisting properties of cotton canvas; or if you want an even more waterproof finish, due to the hydrophobic properties of the wax and oil treatment. It works as an excellent seat or work surface, knee pad, etc.

    Bushcraft tarred rope 4mm

    from $24.04 from $20.90
Traditional twine (4mm) and rope (6mm) made from the fine threads of the hemp plant, coated with tar. Tarred yarn has been used aboard sailing ships for rigging, to serve and knot tying, as well as for tying the so-called ratΙines and hanks for centuries, it has been very common throughout the centuries in wilderness areas where it became a basic supply for pioneers. Historically these yarns were made from hemp which had to be impregnated in "Swedish tar" for conservation. Wood tar is washed out by rain and spindrift after a year, until then it is Water and UV resistant. Apply some amount of oil/wax reproofing cream to keep the rope as efficient as the first day. By the way... our tarred rope is resistant to the occasional open flame and it's a great tinder! But how does a rope with these two characteristics work and what extra capabilities does it have? Process the rope fibers to make a bird's nest. Throw high temperature sparks by the means of a ferrocerium rod or similar. It will catch the sparks amazingly! The flame the nest will provide will be very ample, hot and fast: this is called a Flash Tinder. Do you want a more sustainable flame? Use separate yarns of your rope as kindling or just press more tightly some parts of the nest you created, it will help maintain a flame for longer. Blowing into it will restart your flame! Expose a piece of rope to a flame long enough until it finally catches on fire, voilà! You just created a portable flame: this makeshift candle works because of the infused tar in the rope, as it melts and feeds the natural hemp fibre. Not enough light? Wrap a good amount of rope around the end of a branch and light it, you will be crafting a Fire Torch in no time thanks to the waterproofing formula. (If your branch has some resin at the end of it, you add some wax, oil or fat to it, you will make it last longer)

    Why an Alcohol Burner?

The Bushcraft Spain Alcohol Stove is a powerhouse of a stove with a convenient cover that allows you to store the fuel inside the stove for transport. This style of burner is known for its rock-solid reliability and is the gold standard that other stoves are compared to. It includes a simmer ring that you can use to reduce the heat from the stove and allows limited simmering. The stove does require a stand which you can craft easily. It is a great backup fuel source and companion to your cooking kit. When used inside a twig stove, this alcohol burner benefits from the efficient air flow system, which means achieving faster boil times. A convenient flame regulator lets you control or put out the flame with ease. The screw top cap features a rubber gasket which allows you to store fuel directly in the alcohol burner for extended periods of time without leakage.

Three small wooden or steel pegs can be used to construct a quick platform on top of which to boil your water or cook your meals as well. The beauty of a vintage style alcohol can't be underestimated, taking into account how little space it takes and how simple it is to operate. Interested in a custom waxed canvas bag for your alcohol stove? Write us a chat and we will make one specially for you!

  • Whether you are a causal hiker, a hunter, a prepper, an extreme outdoor enthusiast, or serving a tour of duty in the jungles of Peru, you are 1 mechanical injury away from finding yourself in a real survival situation. Your 2 primary concerns are always going to be hydration and core temperature regulation, that is why this kit is a must have in your pack. The Pathfinder Widemouth Military Style Canteen Cooking Kit was designed so the canteen will nest inside the cup along with the stove for convenient and compact storage. Not all containers are created equal, and in a survival situation, unless your container can withstand direct fire for the purposes of boiling/disinfecting water, the effects of water borne pathogens are quickly going to add to your list of troubles. Continuing to raise the bar, The Pathfinder School has developed the ONLY wide mouth stainless steel military canteen on the market today. The wide mouth design of this canteen allows you to easily obtain water from the shallowest of water pools, which will help conserve precious calories and energy that can be used to aid in your rescue or to affect your own self-rescue. The nesting cup has a folding handle that securely fastens the stove to the cup when not in use and has measurement graduations on the inside. Set Includes: 39oz Wide-mouth Stainless Steel Canteen with new thread and cap design. 25oz Stainless Steel Nesting Cup Stainless Steel Canteen Nesting Stove Pathfinder Canteen Cup Lid (effective 10-12-15)
  • For generations, the Swedish Mess kit has been an essential tool for Nordic soldiers, enabling them to prepare meals and brew coffee in the field. This kit served as a comprehensive camp kitchen, and now, Pathfinder has meticulously recreated it using premium 304 Food Grade Stainless Steel, ensuring durability and reliability for all your outdoor adventures. *Please note that the Pathfinder Alcohol Stove featured in the images is not included in this set. If you need an Alcohol Stove, it can be added in the drop-down menu. Included Components:
    • Pot, approximately 1400ml capacity (47oz)
    • Pan with D-shaped rings on the handle, approx. 550ml capacity (18oz)
    • Windscreen/Stand
  • The Pathfinder Collapsible Skillet is the perfect size for everyone from the backpacker to the camp chef and easily organizable in your backpack. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options galore using one of the most versatile pieces of the kitchen kit.
  • Having a container of some sort is one of the most essential items for any time spend in the woods.... but we can do better than that. A good container should make itself useful in more than one capacity, make cooking a simple chore rather than a Rube Goldberg like exercise. It should be bomb proof and allow you to maximize the amount of water you can boil all while being as portable as possible. This 64 oz Bush Pot by Dave Canterbury has got to be our favorite of all time. Constructed of food-grade 304 stainless steel, you don't have to worry about what's leaching into your food or water (unlike aluminum). The bail has lockable detents so it stays where you want it, and the batwing handles make holding it a breeze, even when full of hot liquid or food. There is a pour spout opposite the batwing handles that makes sharing a cinch, and a strainer lid if you brought something like pasta! While this stove IS based off of the design Bushcraft legend Mors Kochanski has been using for decades (itself based on the coffee pot found in old nesting camp pot sets), those are all made of aluminum and are inherently not as safe or durable as this stainless steel model. With aluminum you MUST be careful not to keep it over the fire empty, or you'll burn a hole right through it. You could sleep through the night with this pot on the coals and never have to think twice! We've carried one for years now, and it never leaves the pack. We keep our other essential cook gear inside to save space, along with an alcohol stove, just in case there aren't fires allowed, or everything is just too soggy. Pair this with the folding skillet and alcohol stove for the ultimate backwoods cooking kit!
  • When we think of a Valencian paella, images of the countryside and tradition, of meeting and companionship, are evoked. It is one of the best-known Spanish containers and one of our favourites! There's much to be said about a party of campers that carry a paella with them :) With the paella you can make great dishes to feed a large group; grilling, frying, boiling ... its flat design and two handles make it easy to carry in a backpack. The paella also hides other less orthodox uses: If we choose a polished carbon steel or stainless steel paella, it can perform the function of an emergency signaling mirror, and if we do not want to waste our voice shouting and we do not have a whistle, it can be hit to create a very amplified and characteristic sound. If we chose an enameled or stainless steel one, we would not have to maintain the care that polished steel requires. Stainless steel paellas are, however, more expensive due to their manufacturing process Contact us for different sizes. Made in Spain by the prestigious brand Garcima. Do not accept imitations.
