Waxed Canvas Roll-Up Pouch

Practical repair or fire kit, pipe or tobacco roll-up oilskin bag with a brass eyelet, a leather cord and an olive wood toggle. Waxed cotton was used from the mid-1800's until the 1950's when nylon and PVC became available. Our 10 oz waxed bag is a versatile pouch whose interior measures 18cm x 9cm (7"1/4 x 3"1/2). The other side of the bag is a big pocket that measures 18cm x 16cm (7"1/4 x 6"1/4). It features a waxed cotton cord that wraps around the bag and is held closed by a spanish leather cord attached to an olive wood toggle. The entire bag measures 26cm x 18cm (10"1/4 x 7"1/4) when open and around 18cm x 9cm (7"1/4 x 3"1/2) when closed.

CLASSIC SPANISH BOTA BAG

The traditional Spanish bota is made with authentic goatskin of the highest quality, clean of stains and cuts and vegetable tanned using a traditional process. Reinforced seam by triple stitching. Bakelite upper closing ring, totally hermetic. With a cord for carrying it on the shoulder, it is comfortable to wear and totally silent when walking, ideal for ornithologists, nature photographers, hunting activity and campers in general. Its classic design has survived millennia with few variations, today Spain is one of the few countries where you can still find these handicrafts that Ernest Hemingway fell in love with. The Three Z.Z.Z. It is the number one brand in Spain and the world, making handmade botas since 1873. There are two versions of the classic bota, the straight and the curve; and two types of interior, the pitch (made from pine or juniper resin) and the latex.

I have commented before that this 50cm axe, although it can be taken with both hands has some security problem, for example: If I try to cut this trunk hitting there is no problem, but if I miss, the axe would go straight to me. With a longer axe this is very easy to solve, because if you hit it well, and if you miss you have more range to hit the ground, if the axe hits the ground it won't hit you. So a bigger axe will always give you more protection, but this one offers you more portability, you can put it in a backpack easier. I recommend that if we are in winter and we need mass wood to make a fire to take the largest of 60cm and in normal situations where we do not have to work so much with wood and we need something a little more versatile, which weighs less or is more manageable to take a smaller axe.
