Daniel Carter Beard, one of the founders of the Boy Scouts of America, was the first to talk about the Forester’s Tent, a light and reliable tent that offers a wonderful cover from the elements.
The front of the tent is around 210cm (7ft) wide and 180cm (6ft) tall, while the rear is 90cm (3ft) both tall and wide, allowing to accommodate a camper comfortably, and even the rucksack; the length is about 240cm (8ft), with very little effort 2 campers can have a wonderful shelter with space for their equipment.
It is meant to be used with a campfire in front of it so as to profit from the warmth: the design of this Forester Tent provides a sleeping place that won’t condensate nor let water in, if pitched correctly.
There are many ways to set -up this tent, you can use a big bipod in front of it, you can build a tripod as the very frame of the tent, and even using a long pole from a broken tree is possible, if you use it as a beam for the interior of the tent it can leave throuh the opening at the back; with some rocks you can find around you can secure the sides of the shelter, you won’t need any tools!
Made of a reliable, and traditional organic 100% cotton fabric; the way they were made. This is our tribute, don’t settle for less: cotton fabrics are more breathable, more authentic, naturally UV-resistant, and they are available in Forest Green and Natural Canvas (and Forest Green or Mountain Brown for our oilskin version of the Forester Tent), for setting up camps that are perfect for hunting and trekking. Gear that blends in nature, the way camping should be.
