Our signature Oilskin finish has been applied and allowed time to soak through the canvas, making the bag highly durable and water repellent, for those dewy mornings or rainy evenings. It will keep your wood protected from nearby water, and if the wood itself is a bit wet, it will protect the area you leave it on. Waxed cotton was used from the mid-1800's until the 1950's when nylon and PVC became available. Our 10 oz waxed bag is a versatile pouch whose interior measures 18cm x 9cm (7"1/4 x 3"1/2). The other side of the bag is a big pocket that measures 18cm x 16cm (7"1/4 x 6"1/4). It features a waxed cotton cord that wraps around the bag and is held closed by a spanish leather cord attached to an olive wood toggle. The entire bag measures 26cm x 18cm (10"1/4 x 7"1/4) when open and around 18cm x 9cm (7"1/4 x 3"1/2) when closed.
